In February 2018, Professor Guillermo Etse will be guest professor at the Institut für Werkstoffe im Bauwesen of the TU-Darmstadt in the framework of the research activities of the EU Horizon 2020 SUPERCONCRETE project.
Guillermo Etse is a Full Professor of the Faculty for Exact Sciences and Technology, University of Tucuman, the Faculty of Engineering, University of Buenos Aires and he is an Independent Researcher of the Argentinean Council for Scientific Researches (CONICET), in Argentina. Prof Etse received his civil engineer and master in structural engineering degree at the University of Tucuman, Argentina, and a Ph.D. degree at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, with Prof. Kaspar Willam being his supervisor. His scientific research, covering about 30 years of experience, is addressing the field of constitutive modeling for cohesive-frictional porous materials like concrete and soils, the formulation of mathematical indicators for ductile and localized/brittle failure modes of material theories, and FE application for computational simulations of failure processes in concrete and soils related boundary value problems. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Guillermo Etse was also the supervisor of Dr. Antonio Caggiano who is currently host at the Institut für Werkstoffe im Bauwesen as a Forschungsstipendiat of the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung.
