Gappisch conducts research at TU Darmstadt in the field of hydraulic engineering and hydraulics, investigating how rivers and other bodies of water can be used as a sustainable heat source.

A team from our department received an award of recognition

As part of an IPBU module last winter semester, a total of eight student groups, along with their advisors Professor Boris Lehmann and Professor Hauke Zachert, participated in a real-world competition organized by the Schlaun Foundation and the City of Hagen. Out of more than 100 submissions, one of the groups was awarded a “Civil Engineering” recognition prize.
