Kurt Ruth Prize 2025 goes to Dr. Leon Schumacher and Dr.-Ing. Steven R. Lorenzen
Tobias Blach was awarded the prestigious Willi Hager Prize, endowed with 6,000 euros, for his dissertation entitled “Aerobic and Electrochemical Treatment of Process Water from Hydrothermal Carbonization of Sewage Sludge” at the 2025 Annual Conference of the Water Chemistry Society in Münster on 26.05.2025.

Kurt Ruth Prize 2025 goes to Dr. Leon Schumacher and Dr.-Ing. Steven R. Lorenzen
This year, the Kurt Ruths Prize of TU Darmstadt, endowed with 12,000 euros, will be awarded in equal parts to chemist Dr. Leon Schumacher and civil engineer Dr. Steven R. Lorenzen. The researchers developed new methods that can be used directly in catalyst development and bridge monitoring.

This year's Merck company run (Merck Group) took place on 13.05.2025. Over 7,000 runners from companies in Darmstadt and the surrounding area took part in four different courses between 2.5 and 10 km in length.
