Professor Waldmann-Diederich at the 42nd seminar on solid construction at the TU Darmstadt
How can solid construction in Germany become more environmentally and climate-friendly? This question is the focus of the 42nd solid construction seminar at the TU Darmstadt. The motto of the two-day event is “Paths to sustainable solid construction”. In a video interview, Professor Danièle Waldmann-Diederich from the host Institute of Solid Construction at TU Darmstadt explains why solid construction is a problem for the carbon footprint, what she is currently researching and what impetus she hopes the conference will provide.

Two teams from the Institute of Structural Design and Building Construction receive awards
On September 19, 2024, the award ceremony for the Stuttgart Lightweight Construction Prize 2023 took place in the famous tent construction of the Institute for Lightweight Structures and Conceptual Design (ILEK) at the University of Stuttgart. The prizes were awarded by the director of the institute, Prof. Lucio Blandini, and the chairman of the association, Prof. Stefan Schäfer.
