Symposium on Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering on the occasion of the retirement of Prof. Boltze

30th September 2021, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (UTC+2), online

Dear colleagues, dear alumni, dear students, dear friends

of the Institute of Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering,

in autumn 1997, Professor Dr.-Ing. Manfred Boltze took over the Institute of Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering. In research and teaching at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, Prof. Boltze is involved in the common foundations for all means of transport and in the cross-transportation issues of transport planning and traffic engineering. Methods and procedures of transport planning are treated with their interdisciplinary references and as part of interdisciplinary spatial planning. Traffic management, transport telematics, sustainable and health-oriented transport and urban planning, alternatives for the road freight transport and many more topics are the focus of current research.

On the occasion of his retirement we want to take a look back and forward at his and the institute’s achievements in research and teaching.
