The KGBauko Institute is pleased to announce the realization of an additively manufactured bridge on the Lichtwiese campus in the coming semester as part of the “Constructive Design Project” course. The span of a unique, completely robotically manufactured bridge is approx. 6 meters.

This study project is being implemented in close cooperation with the company Sika (project managers Slava Markin and Shifan Zhang) and the company Staikos 3D (managed by Georgios Staikos and Yannik Berkensträter). It is a continuation of the IPBU project carried out in the winter semester, which was carried out in cooperation between the KGBauko Institute, the Facade Technology Department and the Steel Construction Department.

The first test trials have already been successfully completed and all interested students are invited to register via TUCAN to take part in the course entitled “13-D1-0020-pj Konstruktives Gestalten Projekt”.

The integration of additive manufacturing and robotics into the Constructive Design Project offers students the opportunity to get to know and apply these technologies in a real project environment. By collaborating with the participating companies, students also gain insights into current developments and can benefit from the expertise of the industrial partners. The project thus makes an important contribution to the practical training of students and to the promotion of innovation and technology in the construction industry.

We look forward to your participation and to implementing this exciting project together!
