Climate Neutral Massive Bauen@skills.BW
2024/11/18
The fifth “solid Monday” will take place on 25.11.2024 from 16:30 to 17:30 as part of the knowledge platform “Klimaneutral Massiv Bauen@skills.BW”. The digital live format will focus on innovative approaches to solid construction and their contribution to climate neutrality. At “solid Monday” on November 25, Prof. Eddie Koenders, Professor at the Institute for Materials in Civil Engineering at TU Darmstadt, will give an insight into the research and application areas of CO2-neutral concrete.
The market already offers numerous options for reducing the carbon footprint of concrete, for example through the use of clinker-reduced cements or innovative technologies such as active carbonation. The German Research Foundation (DFG) is currently working on further innovations as part of the recently launched priority program “Climate-neutral concrete”. Prof. Koenders is the coordinator of the DFG project and will present the basic approaches to CO2 reduction and the current state of research at “solid Monday” on November 25.
The “solid Monday” will take place via Zoom; participation is free of charge. Registration is now open on the knowledge platform www.bau-klimaneutral.de. The recordings of previous solid Mondays are also available there.
“Klimaneutral Massiv Bauen@skills.BW” is a free, digital training format for all aspects of climate-neutral solid construction. In addition to events, interested parties can find a variety of compact videos and practical insights at www.bau-klimaneutral.de. The platform is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Tourism as part of the “BAU.weiter.BILDEN@BW” funding program.
