Apply now for the ASA Program 2026 and stand up for global justice

Are you between 21 and 30 years old? Are you studying in Germany, have you completed your bachelor's degree in the last 18 months, are you currently in training, or have you completed vocational training? Then apply now for an ASA scholarship and put your regional knowledge to use in an international project for sustainable development. You can submit your online application to participate in the ASA program until January 20, 2026.
The ASA program is a development policy exchange and scholarship program in 45 countries worldwide for young people who want to change our world through their commitment. It includes a three- to six-month project phase in countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Southeast Europe, as well as seminars for preparation and follow-up. Participants receive a scholarship that covers travel expenses, accommodation, and insurance.
ASA projects in the field of engineering “Promoting industry, innovation, and infrastructure” is the ninth of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Agenda 2030. This year, many of our projects are dedicated to developing sustainable technologies and robust, future-proof infrastructures to accelerate the transition to a resource-efficient and innovation-driven economy. To this end, we are looking for committed young people who are interested in and ideally have some initial experience in the fields of technology, innovation, and sustainability. We offer the following projects in the field of sustainable engineering:
Indonesia I Improving waste management: Reducing plastic waste and protecting ocean biodiversity
Nepal I Sustainable schools: Establishing green power supply and helping to shape educational work
Madagascar I Realistic and practical: Enabling sustainable cooking through energy-efficient stoves
And many more projects are waiting for you!
The ASA program is also open to those who have no previous experience abroad or in the field of development cooperation. We welcome applications from all disciplines. Contribute your prior knowledge and skills—and develop yourself professionally and personally!
