TU Darmstadt, together with the Soroptimist International (SI) Club Darmstadt, has established a new award: the Soroptimist International Club Darmstadt Award. The prize honors women who have successfully completed their doctorate at TU Darmstadt while also caring for at least one underage child during their doctoral studies.

The award acknowledges the special challenges and outstanding achievements of mothers in science. It is endowed with 2,000 euros and will be presented annually.
