Expert meeting on the circular economy

On 23 January, a group of experts met at the IHK Darmstadt Rhein Main Neckar to identify current challenges in the implementation of a circular economy in the construction sector and to develop possible solutions. Prof Liselotte Schebek (Fraunhofer IWKS/TU Darmstadt) and Prof Hans-Joachim Linke (TU Darmstadt) contributed their experience from the research projects “Innovative reuse of building materials” (WieBauin – FKZ 033L209) and “Resource-efficient urban districts” (RessStadtQuartier – FKZ 33W109), which were carried out together with other partners and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The results will subsequently be discussed with ministry representatives.
