Identifying abuse of power and inappropriate sexual advances at the university – Empowerment and Support for students

Ein Workshop für alle Studierenden der TU Darmstadt

2023/11/15

This workshop opens a space of empowerment to get an idea of prob-lematic situations of boundary crossings and abuse of power at the uni-versity and reflect on them. We will also look at some red flags that might help to identify these situations early. The aim is to raise awareness and discuss the different options of action (e.g., individually and/ or making use of TU Darmstadt`s support services/ as a bystander). Furthermore, we will discuss other relevant topics in everyday study life and what else the university can do to help. The workshop takes place as part of a mentoring program for female students, but it is open to students of all genders.
