Our department took part in the Merck Run with its own team for the first time

This year's Merck company run (Merck Group) took place on 13.05.2025. Over 7,000 runners from companies in Darmstadt and the surrounding area took part in four different courses between 2.5 and 10 km in length.

This time, for the first time, Faculty 13 of the Technical University of Darmstadt entered a joint team of StuHi's, WiMi's and Prof's from different subject areas. The run, which was characterized by fun and sportsmanship, was a complete success. Dr. Rädel from the Department of Steel Construction was able to secure 1st place in her age group. Professor Clemens Hübler from the Institute of Structural Mechanics and Design even managed to take 2nd place (1st place in the M35 age group) in the overall ranking for the 5 km course. At least as important, however, was the joint event and subsequent celebration of all participants.

We are already looking forward to a repeat next year and hope for many new enthusiastic runners!
