Energy meets technology – excursion to DB Energie in Borken (North Hesse)

On October 28, 2025, you will have the opportunity to gain exciting insights into the engineering fields of activity and infrastructure facilities of DB Energie in Borken (North Hesse). As Deutsche Bahn's energy supplier, the company plays a central role in supplying electricity to the German rail network and offers a wide range of prospects for young people with an interest in technology.

What you can expect on site:

- Presentation of the company and its engineering fields of activity

- Guided tour of the forming plant

- Presentation of DB's diversity initiatives

- Insights into career opportunities such as internships or final theses

- Exchange with engineers on site / networking

The excursion is primarily aimed at students of electrical engineering and information technology as well as environmental sciences, but secondarily also at students of mechanical engineering and civil engineering – regardless of their current semester. The presentation language on site is German.

The number of participants is limited to 25.

Date: 28.10.2025, Borken (North Hesse), 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Arrival: Joint outward journey by train at 06:30 from Darmstadt main station. Return approx. 19:00 at Darmstadt main station. Individual arrival possible.
