The IPBU project “Design Built Cabin” was carried out this winter semester between Prof. Ulrich Knaack of the Institute of Structural Analysis and Design (ISM+D) at the TU Darmstadt and Prof. Lars Uwe Bleher, Emerging Design Technologies Department of the Faculty of Architecture at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.

Win a trip to Lisbon with the Unite! student video contest
The Unite! student video contest calls on all students of the Unite! partner universities to make short films (max. length 3 minutes) showing their everyday life as students and thus the diversity and interculturality that makes up the student body of Unite! and its nine partner universities. The film should shed light on the students' personal lives and habits, thus arousing curiosity about Unite! Application deadline is April 9, 2023.

Unite! Student Festival Lisbon 2023

Win a trip to Lisbon and give more voice to the student voice of Unite!
The Unite! Student Festival Lisbon 2023 will take place at the University of Lisbon (ULisboa) from June 29 to July 1, 2023, gathering students from all nine Unite! partner universities. The goal: to combine fun, interculturality and co-creation activities to encourage student participation within Unite! Participation for Unite! students is free of charge and the costs for travel, accommodation and activities are covered by the respective partner university. Registration deadline is March 15, 2023.

Students conduct interdisciplinary research on new bridges
In recent decades, extreme precipitation events in Central Europe have led to several floods with considerable economic damage and, unfortunately, also with deaths and injuries. The prolonged heavy rainfall event in July 2021 and the resulting extreme flooding of rivers and streams, particularly in Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia, have made it clear that despite all the technical facilities and preparations for such events, such floods cannot always be contained.

The Prof. Sorin Huss Fund. Apply by March 1
The Prof. Sorin Huss Fund provides financial support for TU students with children. The fund helps scholarship holders who are studying or pursuing a doctorate with the costs of childcare. This can be an immense relief with the current rising costs in everyday life. Applications can be submitted again as of March 01, 2023. Preference will be given to international students, parents who are about to complete their degree or doctorate, and families who have multiple children.
