The TU Darmstadt has a large number of buildings that are basically suitable for the implementation of the sponge city concept, i.e. to use water as efficiently as possible, to feed it into the natural water cycle as far as possible, and to at least mitigate the effects of heavy rainfall events.

The IPBU project “Design Built Cabin” was carried out this winter semester between Prof. Ulrich Knaack of the Institute of Structural Analysis and Design (ISM+D) at the TU Darmstadt and Prof. Lars Uwe Bleher, Emerging Design Technologies Department of the Faculty of Architecture at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.

Students@School- study information at eye level is an orientation offer for pupils of the Central Student Counseling and Orientation, in which students present their study biography as student ambassadors at schools and represent the TU Darmstadt.

Win a trip to Lisbon with the Unite! student video contest

The Unite! student video contest calls on all students of the Unite! partner universities to make short films (max. length 3 minutes) showing their everyday life as students and thus the diversity and interculturality that makes up the student body of Unite! and its nine partner universities. The film should shed light on the students' personal lives and habits, thus arousing curiosity about Unite! Application deadline is April 9, 2023.

The Unite! Student Festival Lisbon 2023 will take place at the University of Lisbon (ULisboa) from June 29 to July 1, 2023, gathering students from all nine Unite! partner universities. The goal: to combine fun, interculturality and co-creation activities to encourage student participation within Unite! Participation for Unite! students is free of charge and the costs for travel, accommodation and activities are covered by the respective partner university. Registration deadline is March 15, 2023.

The M.Sc. Traffic and Transport has the goal of combining the field of traffic with the specialised disciplines of economic sciences, civil engineering and mechanical engineering. Information from the fields of railway technology, logistics, automotive technology, commercial and air transport will be approached from an interdisciplinary perspective.
