With the results of the project guideline nonlinear, a FKM guideline is currently being developed, which will allow the design of components that are subjected to uniaxial or multiaxial proportional loads after completion. The admissible lifetimes are also below the limit of 104 load cycles and thus in the short-term strength range, in that high plastic deformations are also permitted. So far, components that are exposed to multiaxial, non-proportional loads are excluded from the design. The proposed project aims to close this gap. As an example of an application case for which such a design can be of importance, a shaft under torsion and bending – the classical locally multiaxially stressed component in mechanical engineering – is mentioned, which is loaded in addition to normal operation e.g. by torsional events, as they can occur in case of electrical failures. A generally valid, secured calculation concept is to be developed, with which components can be designed for operation under consideration of the local, elastic-plastic stress condition. There are already calculation algorithms which allow this in principle, but they are not secured. In the present case the focus is on the development of the short-term strength range and the validation of the algorithms for the entire service life range, so that a guideline compliant implementation is possible at all. The calculation concept is to be made available as ready-to-use program code. |
