|Project name||Sino-German Cooperation Group “Managing Risk of Water Scarcity: Integration of Climate and Socioeconomic Scenarios”|
|Duration||May 2018 – May 2021|
|Grantor||Sino-German Center for Research Promotion, Beijing|
Water scarcity is already now a key problem in many regions of the world. This problem will become even more serious as a result of climate change. Suitable methods need therefore to be developed to predict water scarcity, prevent it or mitigate its consequences. The cooperation group focuses on three research topics: I) water supply under different climate scenarios, II) water demand according to socio-economic pathways, III) water management and integrated risk management of water scarcity.
